Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Does anyone have any recent experience with Alpe d'Huez ski schools? There seems to be:
ESF
ESI
Prosneige
EasySki
The last few years we have been with UCPA so have had instruction included and I've no idea whether the ESF approach has improved over the years! Looking private lessons for 4 kids (8 to 11yo)

So much depends on the individual instructor really. All the large operators have some great, some not so great. In my experience, the great ones do outnumber the others.
Have you considered a freelance instructor? I've had some joy booking instructors through Maison Sport before, (https://maisonsport.com/en). They've always been great, even if my girlfriend developed a massive crush on Daniele from Italy! (He was extremely handsome though so I can't really blame her) If I understand their business model correctly, are a sort of platform for freelance instructors to advertise their services. A bit like a snow sports version of Fiverr.
I'm not too sure how the prices would compare to going through one of the big boys but it might be worth exploring.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

, Someone asked a similar question on another ADH thread, my answer might be a little bit of use to you :-
You could try these :-

Only thing I know about them is my neighbour (italian guy speaking excellent english) has worked for them for at least a couple of years and whenever I have stopped to chat with him on the slopes the customers always seemed happy, often brits.

We've ended up booking with ESF again this time. We were 3 years ago and the ESF instructor was very good, can't be faulted (but the instructor in the group above seemed very abrupt and not very tolerating of English speaking kids.
We did look at Prosneige but for the Half term week they were more expensive (although more time) and thought that the ESF times suited us as they finish a bit before lunch giving us time to get up to the mountain and find some where for lunch, also means we as parents can get up the mountain earlier and beat the crowds.
