 Poster: A snowHead

@Layne, and don't forget to make sure the snowline still goes far enough down. I looked at the camera on the Lou refuge this morning and it looked like the snow was gone at refuge level on the ski down from La Masse.

From the top of Cime Caron, following the Cime run is struggling (coming back from Orelle yesterday). There's a lack of snow up there and the first part is turning black with lots of rubble appearing. They would have to move a lot of snow up the mountain.....it's still doable but it's patchy.
The other runs are fine off there, just bloody hard early on need your edges!

The cime piste is a truly grim sight on the webcam. Such a lack of snow at 3000m is quite a surprise.

Spent most of today cruising around Meribel and then from Les Menuires making our way back to VT.
The runs on Mount Vallon are lovely condition.
Les Menuires is relatively quiet over there, pistes still in decent condition at the top and then slush at the bottom and everything else in-between, great for cruising in spring conditions on a snowboard. Wall to wall sunshine.
The Balcons piste was bashed last night so it's in better condition but cuts up pretty quickly. Hopefully they'll do it again this week.

Does anyone know the status for Orelle tomorrow 17th April? I saw that Val Tho will open gradually tomorrow, but of course there is no information on the Orelle web site! Ava risk is projected at level 4 tomorrow, anyone can tell me what this means for Orelle? Closed? Some open? All open?

Saulire not going to open at all tomorrow. Needs extensive control work to make it safe.
I think Orelle unlikely to open much initially.
