Help!!
Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better!
Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Looking for smaller less well known to brits resorts for feb half term eg val cenis or Sybelles to hopefully have less busy experience. My two kids will be in ski school and my wife raised a point that will they be enough kids there to be in English classes or will they end up in French speaking class without anyone to communicate to.
Anyone got any thoughts on this

They probably won't have wholly "Anglophone" groups. The instructors will speak English but if the majority of kids are French, they would naturally mostly speak French. what age will your kids be? Little ones don't seem to bother much about language. You also won't have the big choice of ski schools you get in the big ski factory resorts.
Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

My Kids aged 10 & 8 were at the ESF in Val Cenis (Le Haut) over February half term just gone. The 1st day they were in the same wholly English (speaking) class of similar aged complete beginner kids. By the end of the 2nd day the classes were changed due to the various kids different ability, meaning my 10 year old daughter was in a different slightly more advanced beginner class than my 8 year old son. Both classes were then approx 50/50 English and French kids. My kids were happy with this and said it didn't really affect them as they still had other English kids to talk to and the lesson was Bi lingual.
They both progressed really well especially with the benefit of afternoon practise with us after their lessons. We have already re booked for next year as they loved skiing so much!
Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Sounds similar to my experience at Easter in Flaine. Enough English speaking kids on the move at half term that sure there will be some in the resort where we are!

les Sybelles has loads of English and Dutch visitors and is hardly "less busy".
