It would concern me if I was bending over to attach my leash and a skier wearing a medieval body armour suit with a strap-on dildo was standing behind me.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

@hang11, are you attractive from that angle then?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

| Weirdly enough one of my kids who is an instructor just told me that yesterday one of the other instructors she works with lost a board off the lift at work when a kid sitting next to him was messing around with his board and knocked the release lever open, and off it came. |
That kid must have Herculean levels of strength on his quads + calves in order to generate enough upward force to lift the binding lever up.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@franga, I would think leverage of one board against another did it, but I wasn’t there, and no reason to doubt what I was told. I’m sure it’s not common but does illustrate some potential.

Step-on/in bindings vary, but the K2 Clicker/Shimano version has two latch positions:
1) Turn & lift to release - safe
2) Lift to release - quick
You'd thus use '1' for the leading foot, and '2' for the trailing foot. The former being almost impossible to be released accidentally, and the latter doesn't matter because your foot won't be in the binding in the situation where a muppet skier could clout it open (on a chair lift).

Snowboarded for over 35 years now, always used a leash and always will because I dont want to lose my poo-poo when an idiotic skier barges past me.
They have served me very well, especially in the old days when skiers used to push us over deliberately. These days its really not an issue to clip a leash to your leg, I use a long one that doubles as a strap and means I dont have to bend down
