Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Upto Belvedere, down to Arabba, taxi to Lagazuoi, ski Cinque Torri ending at Lagazuoi. Cable car up, ski the Hidden Valley, drag lift at Armentarola, ski down to the bubble at San Cassiano. Up to Piz Sorega, down to the right, up to La Brancia and head for Arabba…. Toofy Grin

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Or from above Arabba take the Fly, Burz, Le Palé, Cherz, Maserai and ski to Armentarola for the minibus to Lagazuoi cable car. On the way back I’d take Biok and 7 then 8 to Corvara rather than La Brancia and 6 (too flat, needs lots of poling). Then Boe and Bec de Roces will take you back to Arabba.

If you come down from Sas Bece Belvedere the run ends at the Portovescovo Cable Car/Portados gondola. As an aside, is it not a bit weird how the run forces you onto Alpenrose chairlift half way down, even though it's completely unnecessary? Then you presumably have to walk through Arabba to get to Burz? I've never walked through Arabba on the grounds that someone has thought to put a flat chairlift in so assumed it will be easier to use it than the alternative. Have I missed something?

I expect getting a taxi direct from Arabba to Lagazuoi would save a bit of time but I cost a bit of money. Would you not need to book? If you ski to Armentarola it's a regular shuttle bus service and €6? You wait until the driver is happy/full and go.

Coming back, definitely don't take 6! You will shortly be cursing the Snowhead who recommended that route. My second choice would be a detour to take the short bit of Braia Fraida and 5B over that idea. From Arabba I take the Fly back over the village (awaiting someone telling me I've missed something special by going over the village every time) then you can either take the cable car to Portavescovo and ski direct to Fodom gondola or follow the Sella Ronda signs which will take you on Portados then Carpazza, avoiding a short black and a great viewpoint.

From the top of Fodom, Lezuo (now the worst lift on the Sella Ronda?) will take you back to the Sas Bece Belvedere. You can ski straight back to Canazei from there.

Might be an idea to call ahead, but the taxi guys in the square near Bar Peter will run you up there for a price...ok if you can fill the taxi and split the fare wink

Yes thanks....we had a guide in our hotel who clarified a few details, mainly looking to get back on the Biork lift. We left at 8.15 and scooted over to the pick up point, were on our way in minutes and coming down the Hidden Valley half an hour later. All very quick and easy and a great day out.
