Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

I'm going with my wife, 6-year-old daughter and my wife's parents (non skiiers). We wondered if anyone knows if there's a pedestrian pass available in winter? I can't find anything about one online.
But it seems a single trip up the Horbergbahn for a pedestrian is €28 return. Which is pretty steep just to pick up or drop off from a ski lesson! If there was a week pass or similar that would be ideal - I'm sure they'd use it to walk around/explore some of the other areas too.

Thanks for any advice!

Would also be interested if anyone can advise on cleared winter walking paths, cross county skiing and snowshoe trails in the Zillertal which are easy to get to from Mayrhofen by public transport for the non-skiers in our group

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@nahdendee, here's this seasons thread.

But to answer your question:

Cross country, you'd need to head up towards Hintertux, there's trails along the valley there.

Walking paths, there's a nice route between the Finkenberger almbahn over to Penken, up the Kombibahn and over to the top of the Finkenberger almbahn again. You can see the route on the map here, it's the pink route:

@swskier

Many thanks for the links, exactly what we are looking for. Would you know if it is possible to obtain maps of winter walking paths and cross country skiing routes?. Also grateful for any advice as to any other areas in the Zillertal that have these facilities

(would be grateful if the mods could move this post to the current thread)
