Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Viagra may improve your performance at altitude

Results of a new study add to the evidence that Viagra (sildenafil) improves athletic performance at high altitudes. The study, by researchers at Stanford University in the US, assessed the exercise performance and cardiac output (heart function) at sea level and at simulated high altitude (3,874m).
The drug was found to improve exercise performance at high altitude but not sea level...

Ten men were tested after taking a placebo tablet, a 50mg and a 100mg tablet of sildenafil. They then undertook one practice and three experimental cycling tests at each altitude.
Cycling times over six kilometres were improved by an average of 15% at high altitude after taking the drug.

Sildenafil causes blood vessels in the lungs and some other parts of the body, to dilate, which potentially explains why it reduces problems caused by high pressure in these vessels (pulmonary hypertension) at high altitudes.

This is not the first study where the drug has shown promise at altitude. In 2004, a study of mountaineers at Mt Everest Base Camp (what were they doing with Viagra up there?) found that it increased the maximum workload of the heart. There have been several others published since.

The FDA has been
looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful
consideration by a team of government experts, it
recently announced that it has settled on the generic
name of Mycoxafloppin.

Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin,
Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course,Ibepokin.

A drug company announced today that Viagra will soon be
available in liquid form, and will be marketed
as a power beverage suitable for use as a
mixer. It will now be possible fora man to literally
pour himself a stiff one.

Obviously we can no longer call this a soft drink, and
it gives new meaning to the names "cocktails",
"highballs" and just a good old-fashioned "stiff
drink".

Thought for the day: There is more money being spent
on breast implants and Viagra today than on
Alzheimer's research. This means that by 2040 there
should be a large elderly population with perky boobs
and huge erections and absolutely no recollection of
what to do with them.
