Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

BA Ski Carriage Rules

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi All

I have one checked bag of up to 23kg, as my allowance.

I'd like to split that KG allowance between a suitcase and a ski bag (the ski bag will just contain skis).

Does anyone know BA allow this, or, will the ski bag count as an additional bag?

The rules are pretty confusing.

Hoping a few people have faced this recently so can give actual experience.

Many thanks

No. That’s two bags, and each can be up to that weight limit. Just did this three days ago. Only one of them arrived, but that’s another story.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

what's confusing?
You want to take 2 bags & think they only count as 1?
If you take 2 bags, you are allowed to combine the weight, so one could be 20kg & the other 26kg
You cannot split your allowance weight into multiple bags.
If you have a total of 23kg, then get yourself a roller that will take all your gear.
BA are still generous with carry-on luggage, so stuff that to the limit size & wear the biggest bulkiest items if you still need room.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks so much guys, I searched but didn't find that thread.

I've just bought Dakine high roller and it's not massive, so would definitely not buy anything smaller than that. Look at volume parameter although Burton has very limited information about size of the bags.
