Well in a another 6 months or so the season will be in full swing. Here are my 5 main goals for the next season:
1) To ski for at least 3 weeks (inc 1 at the EoSB)
2) To have at least 2hrs quality instruction per week plus 3 x 2 hr lessons at the EoSB
3) To be fitter than last season
4) Have another bash at a bit of easy off piste
5) To ski outside of France for at least one of the weeks.

A ski related topic - fantastic.
1) To ski under 15 stones.

3) To have fun doing it

Frosty the Snowman, spooky our goals are so similar - must be telepathic (or just pathetic  )

3) To loose weight and be fitter than last season
4) Improve my off-piste ability (starting from a very low level this should not be hard)
5) To ski outside of France for at least one of the weeks.

Difference between my goals and what I am definitely going to do:
Going to do:
1. Get four weeks' skiing in
2. Go on a one week snoworks course
Goals for next year:
1. Try to go to gym regularly so I am fit enough for snoworks
2. Improve my technique & confidence so I can ski better on more difficult slopes
3. Would love to improve so much I can leave the OH standing - but that won't happen!

I think Frosty the Snowman's got it all covered with the addition of CANV CANVINGTON's road trip.
I do like the idea of a week on the road, different country every day type of thing.

1. to persuade significant other, that despite our forthcoming arrival, its entirely reasonable to leave them all at home for just one week's skiing;
2. to have some good quality private instruction;
3. to ski bumps well;
4. to win lottery and be able to buy luxury chalet I constantly dream about and ski all season.

FenlandSkier, I was saying to my bro I'd like to do a week were we fly to Geneva, and get a hire car and just spend a day or two in different places. Was looking at the end of Jan for this.
Frosty the Snowman, I would thoroughly recommend Zermatt for your out of France weeks. Having seen how you ski (not a lot different to myself ) you would love the pistes there, wide open reds that you can really cane it down, with one fantastic red from the top leading down to Cervinia in Italy. I'm fairly sure there was a funpark etc for the kids, and they'd no doubt love the novelty of trains rather than lifts in the morning. I would have suggested Austria, but you want to go there minus the sprogs
My goals:
1: 4 weeks again including the EOSB
2: To be a lot lighter and a lot fitter when I get on the slopes
3: Have lessons at the EOSB this time.
4: Try some new resorts, particularly the likes of Flaine, Les Gets, Portes Du Soleil etc...
5: Try the off-piste I was supposed to last season

1. Have knee fit/rehabbed enough to ski back to back days while still being able to walk in the evenings.

1. Beat last saeson's 33 ski days.
2. Get seriously fit, being fit(er) last season made such a difference.
3. Keep up the instruction, better technique...there is no substitute.
4. Go Heli-skiing with my freinds Tim and Lyndon...I think I may be up to it now

My goals starting now:
1)Improve my rollerskiing/xc times - which means both geting a lot fitter and improving my technique
2)Improve my position in the British rollerski championships compared to last year - I'm doing that by entering more races aswell as 1)
3)Improve my telemarking - want to be able to telemark steeps and bumps, preferably both at the same time, though that may take more than one season.
4) Do more touring.
5)I'm tempted to go the the British XC championships in January. If I do my aim is to not finish last!

I was actually thinking that next year will be the first time in a couple of years that I'll be skiing in France! Much prefer Austria on the whole, and have yet to experience Switzerland or Italy.

Trips for next year at the moment consist of nowt at all. Looks like my usual mob are giving it a rest again so I'm looking to gatecrash a couple of weeks with fellow PSB & EOSB a certainty of course.

1) Ski Bum for a season. (Fingers crossed at the moment, looking a little less likely)
2) If I don't do a season, manage at least five weeks skiing.
3) Defend my title at the EOSB.
4) Learn to telemark.
5) Finish off those that I didn't manage to get rid of last EOSB.

Charlatanefc, trying to keep that one quiet, reading up on internet stalking techniques and their benefits in sourcing cheap accommodation abroad. It would be nice to catch up with all friends abroad of course, still plenty of time to do some planning though as neither of the other pair at work usually want any time off in the winter.
