Hi,
I’m an intermediate skier and normally go to Chamonix (or Andorra) for a couple of days skiing each year with the missus who is a non skier. As she doesn’t join me up the mountain we keep our breaks to a couple of days and she enjoys relaxing and taking in the sounds.
Anyway… now we have been to Chamonix a few times we fancy a change. The advantage of Chamonix is is really cheap flights and transfers and will an AirBnB the weekend is really good value. Is there anywhere recommended that can be accessed similarly - Geneva airport would be preferable but not essential if there are options for frequent good value flights and transfers.

We normally go in January (im just back from Chamonix a few weeks ago). I did see a few resorts in the alps.

Other resorts close with lots of transfers.
Morzine/Les Gets/Avoriaz (Portes du Soleil).
Samoens part of the Grand Massif.
Other resort close but less shared transfer options include La Clusaz.

4 Vallées: Verbier, or if you're on a budget, La Tzoumaz or Nendaz, or stay at the Verbier gondola base in Le Châble. All accessible by train/télépherique from GVA. The train currently costs about £95 return adult, using an SBB Saver Day Pass bought in advance. The 4V has a claimed 400kms of pistes but realistically, if you're to avoid range anxiety, it's more like 250kms.
If your wife isn't a skier and is of a cultural bent, then Verbier or Le Chable offers the opportunity to hop on the short shuttle to Martigny and visit the Fondation Giannada. This has a great collection of Impressionists and an excellent outdoor sculpture garden with lots of C20th artists works. Or she could a a day trip to the Château Chillon on Lake Geneva, Lausanne and/or a round-trip on one of the Belle Epoch paddle-steamers that stop there.

Champèry, swiss side of PdS ski area springs to mind.
Lovely village, direct train access, cable car from village centre straight up to higher ski altitude, overall a great mix within reach of Geneva.
The public transport system there is laughably efficient and very typically swiss. It's amusing that train, coach/bus and cable car terminal are all effectively one and the same thing. Just very good arrangement.
Other consideration, going eastward along tbe Rhone valley from lake Geneva takes you past at least six ski areas with usually post bus final approach from valley floor railway.
Verbier North side via Nendaz, Val D'Anniviers (Zinal, Grimentz etc) enchanting valley, Zermatt a parr to Chamonix, a little further and intriguing Bettmeralp, accessed by cable car from valley floor and different (welcome) prospect altogether.

Saint Gervais, has a excellent Spa for the non skiers, also easy for them to get to slopes to join you for lunch, snowshoeing is also an option for them

St gervais or the other side of mont arbois, megeve would be good S said but while I'm not a huge fan of Austria there are a lot of resorts an easy train trip from Salzburg where your wife could go, plenty of flights, easy transfer to the city and then train to resort and then back for your wife

La Clusaz might be nice because it's very French, quite an attractive town. It's an exceptionally easy drive from Gva airport and if you only do a few days, renting a car is probably cheaper than a private transfer.
But St Gervais and Megeve also good suggestions - both easy drives. The latter has more really upmarket and sfisticated shopping an eating opportunities. I'd prefer St Gervais.
