Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

BREAKING NEWS TRAFFIC CUT OFF BETWEEN AIME AND BELLENTRE
Accident has happened on RN90 between Aime and Bellentre at the Gotthard Landfill. Traffic is backed up in both directions (The balance sheet is heavy. A man died this Saturday afternoon around 4 p.m. in a head-on collision between two cars on RN 90 at the exit of La Plagne, direction Bourg-Saint-Mauritius. Two more victims are in cardiac arrest. A shocked woman was taken care of by rescuers. )
Eh oh! ️ Mandatory exit to Aime by RD220
Eh oh! ️ Mandatory exit to Bellentre on RD22
On the other hand: as part of the RECITA regulation, traffic measures are underway to preserve the secondary axes to emergency services:
• Exit 38 "Aigueblanche" is closed to traffic;
• exit 37 "Valmorel" is filtered: only Valmorel destination users are allowed to borrow the exit;
• Exit 36 "Feissons-sur-Isère" is closed to traffic.
Deviations are in place:

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

That's very sad to hear about. Thoughts with the people involved.

Bourg St Maurice / Tarentaise valley transport infrastructure has not had a good week. First the train crash at the level crossing, then the broken funicular, then the replacement bus service catching fire... and now this collision and major road closure.

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Ah, boredsurfin, that might explain the snarl-ups as we came back from Tignes yesterday along the "back route" D220. Long queue down the D221 into Macot causing cars to try getting round Macot using Rue du Venechet despite barriers across the road.

And you can see how the accident happened on Google maps street view. Car coming on to N90 from Aime is looking back to check for traffic his side of the road, while car going the opposite direction from Bourg has seen straight bit of road and a chance to overtake. Bad timing. Fate can be so cruel.
