Poster: A snowHead
|
Hi All,
First time posting so my apologies if this is n the wrong place.
My pal and I want to go a wee ski holiday this season, we're not too fussed where (Europe) or when as long as there's decent snow, apres and it doesn't completely break the bank.
We've never holiday'd just the two of us so we're a bit worried we might get sick of each other's company. Is there such a thing as shared accomodation holidays with opportunities to hang out with, and get to know our fellow skiers and if so what's the best way to find these situations?
I've been googling away with "shared ski accomodation" and throwing in the occasional "18-30" but I'm not having much luck.
Recommendations of companies, websites or even better google search terms would be much appreciated.
Thanks very much.
Dougal.

Hideout in Morzine or Tignes are popular for solo/ small groups. They have good food/bars/ apres and great Staff

A bash sounds perfect. See snowEvents section. Gnaribug in Gressoney is hotel based but very social in the bar/restaurant or EoSb in VT which is shared apartments and very sociable.
Otherwise look at UCPA for hostel style accommodation or shared Chalets (though fewer available than they used to be) where all the guests tend to eat together so socislising is easy or ChaletHotels which are similar but bigger so not quite as friendly IME.

Some UCPA centers have twin rooms to book if you travel as a two. Can really recommend UCPA + twin room combo for the best of both worlds, decent sleep and fun socialization.
