Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Online equipment hire recommendations

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi! Does anyone have any recomendations for booking equipment hire online?
Last year I paid €58 for a 'superior' package for my 12yo at Arc 1950, best I can find this year is €97 for a similar pack, same week of the year at Tignes Le Lac.

Any suggestions welcome!
Cheers

AlpinResorts - ALPISKI and Snowbrainer - SKISTAR - I've not used either of these companies and the codes quoted but thanks to Sideways_Jnr being 13 anf having the audacity to grow, we're having to hire equipment at Easter. A friend (and fellow snowHead ) sent me these codes earlier. Managed to get hire cost halved from the nigh on €100 initially found in La Plagne.

I’ve used Alpinresorts for years, the email they sent me gave a better rate than season23 - code was ALPISKI

I would recommend going straight to the shops website just to get a comparison - sometimes they can be cheaper than skiset

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Yes, but perhaps even better, go into a privately owned shop holding the folding and negotiate the best price for cash.

This is especially effective in Italy for obvious reasons

So if you're just off somewhere snowy come back and post a snow report of your own and we'll all love you very much

Should one enter the hire shop with the folding notes and negotiate a stellar deal, how does the shop take security for the loaned kit, or do they not care? I'm interested!

Certainly some Ski Republic shops are used by Alpine Resorts so you can go through them and use the ALPISKI code. Not saying direct won't be better, just that you can.

I clicked through on the link, curious to why does 'Snowheads strongly recommends not going through Skiset'?

Groupon are offering quite a discount on ski hire with Skimium.
A £3 voucher gets you 40% off.
a £5 vouchers gets your 50% off.

There are some terms and conditions with dates when it can be used but it's saved us a good £400 for our group.

Have fun
