Good location I hope - first time to Selva and I wanted what is near enough ski in, ski out (though it seems to get to the chairs in each direction there will be a little bit of a walk after the first two drags from the Hotel Acadia)

Yes, it's a good spot there.
You won't be getting chairs after the drags, it will either be the Ciampinoi or Dantercepies gondola.
For Dantercepies, you cross the road at the top of the nursery drags and a little travelator whisks you up to the swish new gondola station.

For Ciampinoi, you ski down off the top drag, keeping hard left into the narrow piste between the buildings. You end up at the main road at some electronic gates. Cross the road and the gondola station is 50m to the right.

Sorry, yes I was being lazy and I have seen that they are gondolas before. Both don't look too bad for not much walking.. thanks

For the ski-in, you ski through the tunnel under the road next to Dantercepies and down the nursery slope (keeping right at the split this time) to your hotel.

If you're coming from the Ciampinoi side you need to cross the road using the covered walkway to the Costabella chair that will give you enough height to do the same as above.

Was hoping those links would go directly to Streetview, but sadly not!

I've looked at them on googlemaps street view. Looks like the drag gets closer to Dantercepies than the map seems to imply
I'm guessing Dantercepies is a bit quieter as not in the middle of the village.
The googlemaps aerial photos are quite funny - it shows a bad year with just lines of man made snow almost everywhere

@luigi, @buchanan101, Luigi is absolutely correct. However, I would add that if you wish to dodge an uphill walk, your apres is going to be somewhat curtailed, as the lifts close a 5pm in March. This may not bother you, but I know that the guys in our group whom were camped on the side of Nives, missed the best of apres time by catching the last chair up on Costabella.
