It's been a pretty good week, given it's mid April. Highlights of the last few days:
Thurs. Snow overnight and during the day. Generally poor visibility, but pretty consistent soft snow on piste. I found the blacks (esp. 14a, and also 20 & 21) best as they had consistent slope and little traffic. By contrast the reds and blues were more cut up
Fri. Visibility much better and lots of opportunities to go off-piste. Itinerary 26, and the gully slightly piste-right of the O4 chair were immense with waist deep powder, and in each case we were in the first 10 people down. Itinerary 26 was much more chopped up at the end of the day
Sat. Clear almost all day, and the snow from the previous days was still untransformed at the top and out of direct sunlight. We got fresh tracks several times either side of the border ridge, mostly dropping off the track leading from the top of B2 to piste 13, and in Switzerland, dropping left off the ridge off piste 72. We also got fresh tracks dropping off piste 15 between 14a and 14b, though a little rocky at the top, and the exit was fairly cut up
Sun. More snow and less visibility. Up to 20cms on-piste powder down pistes 7, 4 and 5. Very quiet all day
