Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Jenbach to Mayrhofen transfer

I'm going to be arriving in Mayrhofen by train early on my first day skiing. I think the train from Jenbach to Mayrhofen is included in lift pass prices, but we won't have our lift passes until we get there. Does anyone know if it's possible show the lift pass receipt for the train, or purchase the lift pass in Jenbach?

Thanks!

I never had lift pass checked on the train when using it and certainly between Zell am Ziller and Mayrhofen you don't need to show anything to board so not sure how tickets are policed; maybe a receipt for lift pass would be fine if you were ever asked?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Thanks @buchanan101.

I just heard back from the tourist office and actually both are doable. You can show the receipt for an online lift pass purchase, or buy you lift pass from a machine at Jenbach station.

@Wyeski, The was an article recently in the news saying that you could ask your accommodation provider for an e-copy of the guest card which you could show on the train to get a free trip.

@buchanan101, There are conductors on the train who check and sell tickets. Sometimes they're super keen and check everyone, other times they chat to everyone and don't manage to get round everyone in the carriage.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.
