Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Italy kids club (5yr)

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi - I'm looking to book a trip to ski in Italy duing February half term and we will take our 5yr old with us.

We want to find a good kids club which we can leave her at for the morning and ideally lunch.

I have seen Oxygene in France, which looks great and might end up being the solution, but wanted to see if anyone knows of something similar in Italy (Cervinia, Pila etc).

Thanks!

Do you want her to have ski lessons? Do you have older children too?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Ideally it would be ski lessons and only 1 child.

I have looked at your operators (eg Esprit) but I think I have left it too late for them, plus they seem expensive for the accomodation and food generally seems poor.

Cheers

ESF is not available in Italy, so not sure stating what their class times are is very helpful. Plus many ESF schools will also offer lunch/afternoon so again not that helpful advice.

Seriously this is an easy thing to research. Just have a look at the ski school website in your target resorts. Takes literally no time to find what you need. I don’t have kids that young, picked Cervinia at random and went to the main ski school website where I see they take kids from 5 years and have a combined group ski class plus lunch and afternoon supervision package. Took 2 mins. Maybe have a think about where you want to go, see what is available, then ask here about specific ski schools to see if anyone has experience of them.

An alternative to Esprit in Italy is Ski Champoluc (formerly ski2). I have not used them myself as we always DIY but have met a few families that were pleased with their offering.

If you want to PM me your email, I can send you a spreadsheet I did up called 'Italy ski resorts with afternoon care' that I created when researching holidays for next season (even though we ended up booking France!). It lists resorts where the ski schools offer lunch and afternoon club.

@rg123, we went with Esprit to Champoluc pre-Xmas week and we booked less then a month in advance and there was a last minute discount so it made the price very reasonable. I was very impressed with the ski school and childcare and overall experience. My youngest is 9 but there were a lot of kids of around 5 yr old.
We also went to Cervinia last year and Pila a few years ago ( when my younger child was 5) where we just booked local ski school independently and were very happy on both occasions. In Pila there was also an afternoon kids club option if l remember ( based at the ski school) and we booked a combination of group and private lessons ( which are a lot cheaper then in France)

@rg123, has not really been back, which is a shame after all the good advice here. And that very simple google skills would have answered the question about Cervinia anyway.
