I'm a snowboarder but my skier friends in Leeds pretty much all use Glide 'n' Slide in Otley for boot fitting. I've been there for some custom insoles and they were very helpful. I've also been to Backcountry UK for some hiking gear and it seemed like a really good shop as well but can't comment on their boot fitting.

Just had new boots from Glide and Slide on Otley and tested them at the ski test this last weekend they are a very good fit. Excellent service but not cheap.

@BobinCH, Glide n Slide for alpine boots, Backcountry UK for touring. Both ten minutes down the road from Ilkley. Both very good

Graham at Rivington Alpine in Chorley is one of the best fitters in the UK, whole family have had boots, great after sales service as well if you need any "tweaking". Obviously Glide and Slide and Backcountry are closer...

I have recommended Glide to family members as I had good services and have no complaints over the boots. One thing I would say is that they dont have much variety which didnt impact on me as I was only concerned about the fit and not the colour or style
