Over the last few days, I've been having a chat with a few professionals here, and the proprietor of a gnarly old mountain cabin resto where many a guide brings groups, about what they think we might see in terms of snow accumulation, and what forecast site etc they use.
General consensus was 30cms.
One instructor dude who has done a lot of work with FatMap in our area said he uses skipass.com which I have to admit to never having looked at and have to say it's quite detailed and the way they deal with P/N levels, plus their outlook is quite refreshing, with an interactive map showing projected accumulations for the next 8 days and a lot more!
"Il pourrait neiger jusqu'à 39 cm en haut du domaine de Serre Chevalier dans les prochains hours"
"It could snow up to 39 cm at the top of the Serre Chevalier domain in the next few days."
They also have live reports from people there, posting photos and describing the conditions.
This is their page for La Grave following on from @BobinCH, post above.
https://www.skipass.com/meteo/la-grave.html
And now back at 1400 and 0.5 warmer than Briancon at 1245 - I'm back to the hospital in a couple of hours so again will be interesting to see what the levels are, but it's certainly not the rain (thankfully) that most forecast sites had for this afternoon.

In your neck of the woods Puy St Vincent and Vallouise is looking great for snow. (We went to PSV with Snowbizz 11 times when our kids were young).
Snow at all levels, even the 1,250m langlauf courses and it's snowing heavily in Puy 1600 just now.
Somehow they and you escaped the northern French Alps rain.

For Monday Meteo France say the following
Chablais (Morzine, Avoriaz etc) at 1800 20cm of new snow to add to the 25cm that fell on Sunday. SL to drop from 1400 to 900 but with a lull in snowfall. It will then drop to 700m with snowfall picking up on Monday afternoon/evening.
Similar for Chamonix where the snowline will start at 1200 meters.
Haute-Tarentaise and Maurienne (Tignes, la Plagne) will see totals of 60cm at 1800m for the 48 hour period to Monday midnight with the snowline dropping from 1200m in the morning to 800 meters with snow continuing to the evening.
Isere: 40cm total snow at 1800 m for the 48 hour period with the snowline at 1400m in the morning but it will drop to 800m in the afternoon but the snow will stop beforehand. Snowline is currently around 1700 meters in the Chartreuse.
We might start to see a bit of base being laid down below 1800m. Will freshen up the man made.

SLF outlook for Switzerland. [my bold]
” 01.2023
Skies are expected to be predominantly overcast over widespread areas and precipitation is anticipated over far-reaching zones. The snowfall level will descend during the nighttime hours from approximately 1400 m down to low lying areas. As a result of the northwesterly winds which will arise, the zones on the southern flank of the Alps will be predominantly dry over the daytime and, particularly in the morning hours, partly sunny.
Fresh snow
Above approximately 1600 m:
Chablais, Vaud Alps, northern and furthermost western Lower Valais: 30 to 50 cm; in the furthermost western regions up to 60 cm from place to place;
western Jura region, Fribourg Alps, western part of Bernese Oberland, northern Alpine Ridge from the Wildstrubel as far as the Reuss, remaining parts of Lower Valais, from Val Bregaglia into Val Poschiavo: 20 to 30 cm;
in the other regions of Switzerland, 10 to 20 cm over widespread areas.
Temperature
Temperatures are expected to drop. At midday at 2000 m to between -6 °C in the northern regions and -4 °C in the southern regions.
Wind
Winds will be blowing at strong velocity, in some high altitude regions at storm strength; during the nocturnal hours from the southwest, shifting from westerly to northwesterly directions during the daytime hours.
Outlook through Wednesday,
11.01.2023
Tuesday
On Monday night and during the morning hours on Tuesday in the northern regions, more snowfall is expected to fall down to low lying areas. The major thrust of the snowfall will extend into the regions from the eastern part of the Bernese Oberland into the Glarus Alps and to northern Grisons, where an additional 20 to 40 cm of fresh fallen snow is anticipated. During the daytime hours, the precipitation will slacken off and some bright intervals are expected. Winds will be blowing at strong velocity from northwesterly directions. In the furthermost southern regions it will remain dry, amid strong to storm-strength northerly winds, and quite sunny. The avalanche danger levels are expected to increase another notch. In the Lower Valais and on the northern Alpine Ridge, Danger Level 4 (high) will be reached. As a result of the shallow snowpack at low and intermediate altitudes, it is mainly the alpine snow-sports terrain which will be affected.
Wednesday
On Tuesday night a small amount of precipitation is anticipated, the snowfall level will rapidly ascend from the west up to nearly 1800 m. During the course of the day on Wednesday the precipitation will intensify once again and the snowfall level descend by evening to nearly 1200 m. In the furthermost western part of Lower Valais and on the northern flank of the Alps, an additional 15 to 30 cm of fresh snow is expected at high altitudes on Wednesday. Winds will be blowing at strong velocity from westerly directions. In the furthermost southern regions it will remain dry and there will be some bright intervals.
The avalanche danger situation will continue to remain very critical.”

Update from Tarentaise Meteo
FOLLOW SNOW EPISODE:
As expected after a late morning calm, precipitation has made a return, and is strengthening tonight.
W wind is also gaining at altitude, and should continue to strengthen.
As predicted, we are still in the heart of the depression, the last few hours, so the limit for snowfall is still quite high, it is currently around 1600/1700m depending on sectors.
The cold heart of the depression is expected to arrive around 2 a.m., that's when we could pick up the biggest flurries, which is known as a tumble and a sharp drop of the snow limit.
Regarding tomorrow's forecast, the chronology of events has not moved, namely a small calm in the early morning and a reaction of precipitation from 11am/12pm.
I wish all of you a lovely evening!

Sorry I should be more precise. The 45-50cm readings are at weather stations around 2200-2500m. The snow fell right down into the valleys but not in those quantities. Eg I see readings of 30cm at weather stations around 1500m and can see snowline just above Le Chable around 900m

After browsing the precipitation radars this morning:
Snow overnight in the western Alps was a bit hit and miss. Lots of places with a few centimetres of fresh but looks like the main beneficiaries were fairly localised parts of the Belledonne, Maurienne and northern Valais.
Further east Davos, St Moritz and many parts of the Austrian Alps look to have done well more widely.
(More incoming for many parts today!)

East Tyrol around the Kitz and Skiwelt areas are currently getting snow to about 11/1200. Which is good news to say the least as I'm there Friday.
Sure someone there can confirm better than me?

That sounds about right or maybe down to 1000m (above Kitz). Hotel staff saying ‘rain today, snow tomorrow’ (meaning in the town).

too hot in the Belledonne where it mainly fell as rain below 1800m. About 15cm above 2000 m.
Orcieres, Haute-Tarentaise, Beaufortain and Restefond seem to have done best with 25 to 30cm of fresh snow... but at altitude.

The TF1 Main news were there yesterday and despite their "enthusiasm" you could see it was still a bit thin at resort level. Still it does look good on the webcams apart from lower down at Bisanne, Hauteluce. A neighbour skis there every morning (she works in the hospital during the week) and seems to be enjoying herself.
But the TF1 guys are very naughty running another article about the fantastic snowfall that was actually filmed another time because where the journalist was standing was snowfree on the webcam!
