Poster: A snowHead

Any recommendations for a suitable village for a 4 night stay in Austria in 5 star hotels in an area that is 200km plus with good ski uplift and within an hour of Innsbruck . Ive got Ischgl , Zurs , and Lech in mind , not St Anton though , any others worth considering ?

And also Solden plus Obergurgl in Otztal.
Which month are you planning to get there?

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@gwatts10, why not St Anton? If it really doesnt suit then go to Lech, same skiing, less party but costs more. Not much happens in Zürs (both Lech & Zürs are a bit more than an hour from Innsbruck). Other places pale in comparison. Ischgl has good skiing with a tacky village. Kitzbühel also good for the 5 star type thing, skiing area pretty good though not as extensive or challenging as either the Arlberg or Silvaretta.

@gwatts10, 4 Star in Lech is rather comfortable, and if you're not looking for vibrant apres ski check out Stuben which has a couple of pleasant 4* hotels. Plus Stuben is best placed to explore the whole range of the Arlberg. Zurs is top dollar hotel land. but I've notice some prices looking reasonable at season end.

@boabski, Oberlech hard to beat...
Another vote for Serfaus. Not noticed much by brit tourists for some reason, but IMO piste skiing as good as St. Anton and off piste doesn't get tracked out as fast

Try Finkenberg for the Zillertal |
I think the OP is after 200km+ of connected slopes. Shame to dismiss the Zillertal on that basis - but there you go.

You know it makes sense.

@mountainaddict, the request was for 200+ Km, not for 200+Km which has to be lift-linked. Either way, it's still an area worth considering
