Can anyone recommend any basic, intermediate ski training films/programmes that don't have a grungy rock sound track and fill in sections with freeriders cliff jumping (which I guess 90% of us don't really aspire to anyway.)?

Thanks, just trying to build up a resource.......I have a very old copy of a 1970/80 C&A promotional VHS but nothing more recent......

The SCGB/BASI Ski School DVDs seemed OK on a quick viewing but how much you can learn from them is anyone's guess - although they did undo a season's work of mine. I'd been forcing myself to get down and forward (having been told I was too upright) and then along comes the SCGB/BASI chap telling his pupil that's inappropriate for most modern skis!

Bryan, Have just bought the BASI Skiing Skool and Skiing Skool Again off eBay. Only cost me £7 for the pair (doing my BASI course in december). If you have a search on there you may find them otherwise look at the BASI website www.basi.org.uk

stocky, those are the ones I saw. I've checked and the copy I watched was from eBay and turned out to be just that, a copy rather than legit. The picture froze a bit but always recovered and kept going but none of your dosh goes to support those fine organisations.

phil smith had a new one out a couple of seasons back, we used to plat them all in the shop for clients Phil's was IMO better than the skiingskool ones which although ok are a little dated
