Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

…well the sun has come out in the Valais but the pressure is very low and dropping further. About 20cms in places - still heavy boiler plate with dusting on top, but meteo suggests quite some more to come…

I'm in Zermatt and skied fresh powder yesterday off the top of the Gornergrat between the pistes. Moved over to the chairlift down from Shwarzsee and skied under the Matterhorn area before heading down to Furi for a late lunch. Had a beer and a toffee vodka on the way down back to the village at the Hennustall. Best snow all season with around a foot of fresh. Another early start this morning, the sun is shining.

Lots of lovely fresh in Villars yesterday, was there early for races. Managed to get lost, skiied myself down to a cliff band (which did explain why there was a lovely unskiied pitch)......turned around to find 2 guys had followed me, assuming I knew something they didn't. Walk of shame took the HR up to 165 ish........but best snow of the year (viz non special later)

Not too shabby in Austria yesterday as well. Was not expecting to ski fresh powder after the ludicrously warm weather of the past weeks. Was in Kleinwalsertal on Sunday and managed to make a few lines before the clouds came in and reduced viz to zero Sad
