Toying with taking the family for a last minute dash to the mountains, but where should we go?
First time fir the kids, aged 7 and 3.5. Given the under 4 year old, I guess for ski school that would limit us to Austra?
Where would you recommend given the time of year and state of remaining snow?

Most 3 year olds are not ready for "proper" ski lessons, but the ESF will offer Piou Piou - their nursery level, which is about "fun in the snow". One of the obvious places, in place of high level skiing and a good record for late season would be Tignes Val Claret. But wherever you decide to go, don't delay to book ski school.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Andorra group lessons used to start at 6. The 3.5 year old will play indoors with others and go out for short bursts to make snowmen. They’ve just had a few cm fresh in the last couple of days, in Soldeu.

We'll have four spaces to sell on if you're interested. We should be able to claim it back on insurance but it'd be nice to think they'll get used. Pm me if your interested.

Take the Family Bash offer if you can bear the drive out - plenty of friends for the kids and grown ups.

La Plagne. Literally miles of piste on all facing slopes, tons of instruction options and has just had a big dump. We left on Saturday morning.

Drive across France not for the feint hearted and avoid Paris like the plague. Its costly atm due to fuel prices. Check flights incase cheaper!

We’re in Hochgurgl just now, enjoying 2’ of fresh snow, at 2000m to 3000 altitude, quiet to averagely busy pistes, brilliant english-speaking instructors and hotels with family rooms still have capacity.
Currently relaxing in a nice hotel spa!
