Poster: A snowHead

I have been gifted a pair of Atomic Redster skis that my partner who is an instructor. I have only skid on snow 10 days so still very much a beginner. I see these skis are for intermediate/ expert - do you think they will be too much ski for me?
We are roughly the same height and weight, I won’t get a chance to try them out until next season now. What do you think the challenges will be?

Controlling them after you stop skidding and find your edges for carved turns.
Enjoy

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Hard to say - there is a whole lot of stuff under the Redster subbrand from genuine raceroom FIS skis to punter carvers. Your partner being an instructor shoudl know your capabilities and how to best use the skis- they probably will reward solid technique and be a bit of a pig with laziness.

Yea he said I should be fine - however I think he has more faith in my capabilities than I do
I guess I can just give them a go and see

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Yes, give 'em a go, but if they suck, move on right away. A million years ago I just had to have Hart Comps, and my choice of a ski I wasn't good enough for set me back that whole season.
If ya can't turn 'em, burn 'em!

Haha I like that! I won’t burn them though - just gift them to someone else

@Rach1257, I've got a set of redster S9 and I use them all the time.
They grip like heck but are also forgiving.
Perhaps the easier version in the range would be good for you.
