Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Burton C60 replacements?

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi all,
I've been riding Burton C60s for about 15 years but the top of one of the highbacks broke so I'm after something to replace them.
I don't really have a clue about new models etc.
Would like something similar to the C60, with capstraps.
Any suggestions?

@Jagerbull, when I saw the thread title I thought it might be about buckyballs (aka Buckminsterfullerene)! Laughing

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Alastair Pink, that's way too technical for me!
I changed the title so others don't jump to the same thoughts. Very Happy

Burton Custom or maybe Burton X Base

Question : the c60 are too old. Today Burton has other binding discs etc (EST, or Re:Flex ...have no idea)
You must definitely consider that the new burton are comptaible with your board

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@turms2, I assume new Burton bindings still support the 4 hole base mounting which is what I would need.

@Jagerbull, any new Burton bindings EXCEPT the EST versions will include a 4-hole mounting disc.

Currently using Malavitas and Genesis. Thoroughly recommend both of them, Genesis for all-day comfort, Malavitas for a little more response (although they're still not super-stiff). The Cartel (or Cartel X) is currently the stiffest Burton binding

Again, for a 4-hole board, you need the Re-Flex version of the binding, not the EST version. EST is only compatible with the Burton channel mounting system.

Thanks Stevo, I hadn't realised Burton had 2 versions of each of their bindings. Will have a look in more detail.
