Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Tecnica 0-G and Intuition Tour Wraps

 Poster: A snowHead

After 2 seasons of liking my 0-Gs but always feeling just a tad in the back seat in the OEM liners I just replaced them with Intuitions.

Good lord, transformational. I have my mojo back.

Intuitions are good but how do you think they have moved your CoG? I mean what mechanism?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@jedster, I have absolutely no idea!!

Niklas said he reckoned they'd sort me out and they certainly did Puzzled

The Zero G liner is one of the reasons the boot is listed at such a low weight, basically because the liner is little more than a foam padded sock. I would expect pretty much any 'real' liner to offer better support and feel, especially after 2 years use (abuse).

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

agreed
It was the CoG move that surprised me but is suspect the wrap is so thick its having an impact on forward lean.

UANN - I was thinking that the liners really aren't built for more than occasional use.

How much difference did it make to the tightness of the clips ? When I replaced liners (now on my 3rd liner) on some Scarpa TX Pros, I've had to slacken off the clips across the shins by maybe 3 cms (I had to drill new holes in the shell to allow for the adjustment), and 1cm or so over the foot

@PowderAdict, @jedster, Concept now sell the 0-G as shell only, as they (and presumably Tecnica) were so embarrassed at the crapness of the liner.

The Intuitions don't feel any heavier.

@viv, clips? Oddly, not a great deal different. A bit weird.

@under a new name, I ended up adding 7mm toe plates to my Shifts to reduce that back seat feeling from the 0-Gs, but (a few seasons later) - I now can't decide between the Intuition Tour Wraps and the Zipfit Gara LV or GFT - were you offered a choice?

They are double the weight.

I’ve got the Sidas liners which add a similar amount of weight. With various mods (footbed, heel wedges, calf shim etc) mine now come in around 1650g versus the stock 1350g. Still great boots but not so light!

@BobinCH, interesting. I had meant to look it up. Can't say I've noticed but I haven't used them on the up yet.
