Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Patrick @ a The Green Room, only one I would go to.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I would also stick in a suggestion for Iain at Sport 2000 but you really need to either book and appointment or go around 10.30 or 11 as they get mobbed with rentals as they are right at the Penken.

My other half actually got her new boots from brundl / intersport at the Penken base last year and had a great experience but our mates son was / is working in the shop so we may have got a bit of extra customer service / extra time etc etc

Thanks to both! Much appreciated as a good friend of mine will need to get a new pair and I convinced him that doing at a resort is better than over internet or in a regular shop and relying on your own feel/intuition.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

if you are only out for 1 week make sure that they get them at the start of the week, that way you will have a chance to get some tweaks done in the same shop if need be, they will also get the benefit of a new boot on their trip.

Don't rule out a good shop here in the UK I have had some excellent service and work from some uk based specialist ski / snowboard shops

Good shops in UK, try Profeet. Toby formerly of Edge and Wax has moved there.

To resurrect an old thread; I'd also give a shout out for Fritz at Sport Bründl by the Penkenbahn. He pressed out my old right boot to sort out the bunion which had appeared since I'd last been skiing. Overnight job for €20 with a perfect result first time. Can't comment on new boot fitting but he was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Very busy man but was taking plenty of time to sort the people out who were there for new boots.
