Has anyone had to prove their personal liability insurance.
You can show an insurance renewal letter and you can show a policy document. Is that what is required?

We were not asked in Madonna at the end of January. I might be wrong but I expect it's something that will only be checked after you've been involved in an accident.

I'm back from a week in Cervinia and wasn't asked to prove it. I did buy the daily insurance with the lift pass that did cover it though.
I guess it will only get interesting if someone wants to claim against you.

Not been asked : Most travel insurance policies included 'Personal Liability, so just carry a copy of your insurance document

Best to check your policy terms to ensure that you have third party liability cover! Majority of policies do but who would want to be the one to find out that thye are the exception!!

Did two weeks in Italy doing the PreBb and BB end of Jan. Not asked once for insurance docs. Although I did check my policy provided the cover before I went out there.

Not all winter sports are covered for public liability. Check carefully. I posted my exclusions on another thread on this topic
