Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Season reports for France and US.

Piste Hors' retrospective on the 2005-2006 ski season in France has reported that the smaller mountain regions had an excellent season, while a report from North America claims that national snowfall averages there, were up by 9 percent this season...

Piste Hors reports: In the Vosges, Jura and Massif Central the snow cover was exceptional, and Corsica and the Pyrenees had very good conditions. Although the total snowfall wasn’t astounding, a long period of cold weather meant that the snow that did fall stayed on the ground.
In the Southern Alps, snowfall was better than last season and was satisfactory. But, in the Northern Alps, it was down on last season until mid-February.
However it was also a record year for avalanche deaths.

The American report said the biggest rise in snowfall was in the Pacific Northwest sub-region, where it was up by 113 percent. And, although snowfall was down in the Northeast and Southeast (by 14 percent and 12 percent, respectively), it was up by 14 percent in the Rocky Mountain and Midwest regions, and by 17 percent in the Pacific West.
