Poster: A snowHead

I have a few Randox Day 2 LFT tests which I no longer need since the Day 2 testing was scrapped for fully vaccinated travellers. Unable to get a refund.
Am I able to use these Day 2 testing kits as a Pre-departure test for my children? The kits are identical, as I have ordered their pre-departure kits previously.
Randox helpline is a painful wait. Has anyone done this already?

Not exactly, but my travelling companion used a Pre-departure test as his Day-2 LFT ( I think you will be OK)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Have a Randox kit waiting for a test on Tues as I'm off to Brussels on Wed for work, says on it it is good for pre or post departure

I think you’d fine as it is a private certificate showing a negative LFT.
The other way that I tried once, we couldn’t do it as they only issued the numbers for the PLF with day 2 tests not pre departure and wouldn’t issue/swap over - but no such issue with using day 2 for pre departure.
Never tried though!

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

You are fine. We have done this. The certificate is the same. The only difference is the Day 2's came with an order number that is required for the UK PLF.

Seeing this thread title, I keep thinking about those boxes of bath salts stuff my Gran used to have in her bathroom.

What a relief!!
When you open the test, do you need to register the kit with Randox before taking the actual test??
Or do you swab, test and then scan?

No and you could take a picture of a twiglet, put any random combination of letters and numbers into the app and low and behold get an “independently verified” certificate. Total scam
