Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski club (of GB) partners - just how many are there?

I've lost count of how many of these emails I've received. It seems like every resort in the world is a Ski Club (TM!) partner. Does anyone know roughly how much these resorts are paying for a mailshot like this, roughly how many people they are reaching, and if the resorts know that they are not exactly exclusive?

Do they have more or fewer partners than Manchester United?

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I'm not a football fan so I don't know the answer to that. I'm just curious as to how much of a money spinner it is to the SCGB to send those out.

If they're selling your data to others for advertising purposes, you must have explicitly opted in to accept that "service".
It's not "legitimate interest".

Send them a GDPR Subject Access Request and specifically request details of any and all third-party organisations they've sold your personal data to.
Ask for precisely what data they provided, when the transfers took place, and how your opt-in preferences were dealt with in that process.
They have 28 days to get that back to you.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

It's them that send the emails, rather than the resorts, so presumably they're not breaking any rules.
