Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Feb Half term at Hemel

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We've got a family ski holiday planned for Easter, and am thinking of taking the kids to Hemel for a bit of a refresher (it's been 2 years since they last went) - my choice is either a Sunday morning or over Feb half term. Initially my thought was that generally feb half term is chaos for trying to do anything with the kids, and Hemel is probably the same. However, I've subsequently been thinking that quite a few families will actually be away skiing at feb half term, so maybe it won't be that busy compared to a weekend. Plus it should be cheaper.

Anyone been at half term previously?

Sunday mornings are heaving, I think your thought process is probably along the right tracks that a weekday session in half term will be quieter.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

It will also depend which week is half term for you. Hertfordshire seems to be 14th to the 18th while others are the following week. Hemel pricing seems to reflect their local dates Toofy Grin

Thanks all, that's a really good shout - our half term is the week later (even though we're only 40mins down the road) so we'll get the lower pricing plus it should be a little quieter if half term is split over 2 weeks.

To be honest, I didn't realise they put the prices up for half term week. They didn't over the Xmas school hols (with the exception of weekends and bank hols).
