Hi All
Heading out to Val Gardena 22nd January and staying in Wolkenstein, can anybody recommend a ski hire shop there?
Thanks in advance
Rick

Olga's - used a few times- much better skis than shop along road on corner (can't remember name)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

@Rickster, It depends a lot on where your accommodation is (Selva/Wolkstein is strung out along a main road)

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

There is Ski Lucas near you and an Intersport shop (forgotten the name) ; But Olga's is a favourite of mine (a bit further up the road from your hotel)

I should have added - Ski Walter has lockers for hire too so you can leave skis and boots there .

@Rickster, The Posta al Cervo is a 10 min walk, slightly uphill, to the Ciampinoi lift. We found a ski depot/lockers worth it.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

Used Sport Walter on the main street (opposite-ish Ciampinoi bubble) 2 years ago and will do again in a few weeks - mainly as they're the cheapest but we're only hiring for the kids so don't need the latest/greatest gear however what they did have was still very good and they're never very busy. Some friends used Ski Nives which is just up the hill a bit behind the main street and said they were excellent with v new gear and a great ski service. depends where you're staying really.
