Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Private Lessons Zell am See

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Hi, I’m heading to Zell am See with a group in February. 4 adults in the group have only skied for one week before so they were planning to do ski school for the week.
Would they be better doing private lessons for say 2-3 hours instead of ski school?
Can anyone recommend a good instructor in Zell?
Thanks

They'll get a great deal more attention in private lessons, so will progress faster. But it's much more expensive. Sorry, don't know anyone in Zell/Kaprun.

Outdo or Snow Camps Europe have a good reputation.

Not sure if OP means private group lessons or private individual lessons, but I will assume the former. Personally, I’d go for ski school, but check the school’s maximum group size. Shouldn’t be more than eight. Make sure they get in a class commensurate with their ability, even if they have to split up. If all four are of different abilities, that could present difficulties for an instructor taking a private group of four, because they will focus on the least able.

All four have done one week of ski school so would like to do lessons together

You may find it difficult to get private lessons in February this year. Many ski schools including ours have not brought in as many instructors as usual. Sure we will have many previously employed Dutch and Germans for the busy time but no Brits, we will have most of the usual part time Austrians too but many of these people will have moved into 'proper' jobs. We are not taking pre booked privates at the moment as we don't have a clue how many we are likely to need for groups.
