Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Package half-term to replace cancelled Xmas

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
Thinking of half-term, 12ish>19ish Feb 2022 and wondering if there is any such thing as a reasonable package from the London area?

I put together a lovely DIY Xmas break staying with friends in France near Crest-Voland for Xmas 2021 and, like so many, we know what happened with France and covid restrictions...

I'm not sure I can bear constructing another DIY trip, but the package alts are understandably expensive. It doesn't have to be France, in fact probably best not, the way covid is, but probably not East Europe.

I had a great trip to Pila a couple of years ago and have been looking at Interski (La Thuile) and Pilaski. They're pretty reasonable but with flights will still be the best part of £2k pp (2 adults/1 child). Is there anything not too basic that's cheaper than that? The idea is just not to have to put too much effort in in case it all has to be cancelled again.... My partner's never skied and we won't be doing much late-night stuff.

Thanks!

L

Iv never done a package ski holiday - although i have had two cancelled with Crystal.

I get the appeal of the package trip but would you not consider a DIY trip? I generally find it cheaper and easy enough logistically using easyjet and airbnb/vrbo

Weve been lucky enough to find some realy good accom for around £2000 for the week... Lovely apartment for ten days over christmas in Les Collons was only £1500!

Flights inc luggage around £300 - £400 depending on the dates.

Hire car around £800 - £1000 (expensive in Switzerland. Much cheaper in France/Italy)

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

That particular week will be much quieter in Austria than France. Also nicer for non skiers.

Thanks, yes, maybe it will have to be DIY again.... It was just having to cancel everything and try to get money returned after Xmas in France 21 was cancelled...

Thanks for the tip on Austria...

BaobabPowder I just searched on Crystal and they have packages from London to Andorra half board from £559 each departing on 13th Feb. Lots of other places too. Good luck.
