I just noticed that Austria originally said the entry PCRs had to be within 72 hours of travel but this has now changed to 48 hours! We are travelling on 26th at 830am so getting PCRs tomorrow at 10am, hoping it isn’t 48 hours before landing!

Well am
Going to have to just wing it - they only changed it today, even the BA website says 72 hours! No chance of getting a later test tomorrow now.

Don't forget your 10am is our 11am so you will be landed before then anyway.

You'll need to Register first of course.

If you are leaving at 8.30 and landing at 11.35 local time that's a 4 hour flight, seems a bit long for a UK flight to me.

I'm jumping on this thread, and still wondering about the "proof of vaccination/recovery". I had covid last week, now recovered thank god, but a pcr isn't recommended for 90 days after as it may show as positive still. I'm happy to do one of course, but wondering if the NHS app showing the positive result for a certain date is enough to show proof of recovery. I'm a bit lost on this one. At least 4 of our party of 16 have had covid the past few weeks, I'm sure a few others will likely get it before we leave too.

@micheleperry,
The Austrian entry form/declaration says this regarding Recovered
"Furthermore, this is to certify the presence of the following requirements:
- At least 14 days have passed since the first detection of SARS-CoV-2 respectively the beginning
of the symptoms.
- There have been no symptoms for at least 48 hours.
- By now it can be assumed based on medical laboratory findings, that despite the presence of a
positive molecular biological test result, there is currently no risk of infection ."
The last sentence should be good news for you (depending on timing..)
