Can anyone recommend (or name!) a non-private minibus service that operates midweek from Geneva airport to the French ski resorts? I’m outbound on Tuesday 14th December.

It depends which ski resort you're heading for.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I’m very flexible @sugarmoma666. Flight booked to Geneva and planned to go to Zermatt, but Switzerland looks doomed for the short term. So, do you know of ANY non-private transfers that operate midweek in mid-December? To narrow it down, let’s say maybe to Chamonix, Tignes or Val’D? Cheers.

To the Tarentaise, check out Ben's Bus, Altibus, SnowDrone, CoolBus (former 2 are coach transfers, latter 2 are minibus transfer companies who offer shared transfers when available). Or get the train to Bourg Saint Maurice.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

Thanks @stevomcd. Checked the bus companies out, either no service or expensive private service. Looks like it’s the train!

You'll need to Register first of course.

There are quite a few running to Chamonix + bus + Train. Tignes and VAl'D are totaly different prospect from GVA. From Lyon you can Train+Bus. Its all about geographic location.

Ski-Lifts will certainly run mid-week GVA <-> Morzine, as I know people using it out on the 15th/back on the 22nd (when I'll be with them).

Cheers @Mjit, but looks like Ski-Lifts only offer private and luxury transfers, at least for the handful of resort options I tried.

Chamonix:
Blablabus or SwissTours for scheduled coach services
Mountaindropoffs, Chamexpress, alpybus, and others I can't remember for shared transfers (minibuses)
Might be a lighter service at the minute, but if you're not arriving late evening, you should have a few options.
Train to St Gervais also a nice option.

Just to add on Chamonix, you also have flix bus which run from the centre of Geneva, so you could jump on a train at the airport to Cornavin (free with a ticket in the baggage hall) and then walk over to the bus station and get a bus from there.

@skidm,
Try asking on resort specific Facebook groups eg Tignes Seasonnaires 2022
