We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Hello, I have been following all the various posts regarding skiing with teenagers. We are still hoping to go in February half term. Flights booked to Turin. Both me and husband double vaccinated (no doubt with booster by then too). Two teenagers not vaccinated, but will have had 1 jab. Looking for an Italian resort where testing facilities have been set up that will be quick and as easy as possible. (I have seen a few posts of resorts in France set up for this) Anyone know the price of these tests too ?? Really wanting to have a holiday but trying to weigh up the hassle of all the frequent blooming tests. Puzzled

I can only talk about the price of tests in the Regione Lombardia - in ski terms the valley just north of Bergamo, the Valtellina (e.g. Aprica, Caspoggio, Bormio, Santa Caterina, Livigno, Tonale), Madesimo and some smaller resorts. The tests that I had during the summer were €25, dropping to €15 in late September - these prices were set by the Regione. I would expect Piemonte (Sauze, Sestriere, etc) and Val d'Aosta to be much the same.

In the absence of info from other SnowHeads, probably the easiest way to see how many pharmacies there are is proably go to the tourist office website for a resort and look there. Yellow Pages (www.paginegialle.it) will give you the information as well, but for some reason I cannot get in to check.
My local farmacy near Lake Garda claims not to speak English, but he communicates quite well, in English, with German and Dutch customers!
Whoever carries out the test will want details for the certificate and the computer:
full name, date and place of birth, UK address, mobile, email address, passport number, expiry. Might be easier to print something out before travel?

I asked a pharmacy in Selva if they could provide a lateral flow with certificate and they assured me they can. There's also a big testing centre in Ortisei.

I think the best strategy is to ask directly to the provider and then verify when you arrive in the town.

Thank you. We are flying to Turin so looking at Aosta or west. There seems to be info on French resorts and their testing facilities but not so much in Italy. Will keep researching !!
