Poster: A snowHead

Hi! I am looking to book a solo ski holiday in 2022, I would love to meet some new people skiing but don't know which companies are best for something like this? Would love to hear your thoughts!

@MaryKMc, haven't used them personally, but a company like https://www.ucpa.co.uk/ might be what you're looking for.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

100% UCP but book through the english agent Action Outdoors https://www.action-outdoors.co.uk/ - easier to navigate and you get the first Saturday night included which you don't direct with UCPA so its easier to travel from the UK.
As a solo female you wlil be put in a room with other females, usually also traveling on their own. Super sociable, really easy to make friends and I always found every there (even in a group) is up for chatting and being inclusive.
Decent accommodation, amazing food and all inclusive ski pass, equipment and lessons.
I've been to Val T and Val D once each and probably 3 or 4 times each to Serre Che and Argentine. I have a soft spot for Serre Che personally but you won't go wrong with any of them.

Highly recommend Cold Fusion.
https://www.coldfusionchalets.co.uk/
Sadly they don’t have their 2 big chalets in Cham anymore (I think they use hotels now) but have met ski buddies for life in the 2 trips I did.

Can highly recommend UCPA/Action outdoors - fantastic value for money, well organised and good fun! Some centres are more modern than others - val thorens is my favourite so far!

@MaryKMc, youth hostels are quite good for meeting people and there are many in ski resorts. You are quite young, and if you are intermediate and confident enough to ski alone on piste then you will meet people there or you can ski alone and dine with company in the evening.
I would suggest Switzerland for this. Zermatt has a good selection of youth hostels, as do many other resorts in Switzerland which are accessible by train from the airport.
Alternatively, come up to Scotland in 2022 for a dirty weekend (as in dirty snow) and save up for a bigger trip in 2023 when covid and further lockdowns in Europe will be resolved (probably) There are youth hostels in Scotland too....

I've stayed in a few hostels in Chamonix, Morzine and Zermatt, usually find someone to ride and not too expensive.

And love to help out and answer questions and of course, read each other's snow reports.

I am going with the Ski Gathering to La Tania on 5th Feb - it looks very exciting.
I am going solo for the first time due to all my usual ski friends and family being busy.
I have no idea of ages - personally I am a rugby loving, house and soul music loving bloke of 56, that loves his apres as well as his skiing - to the point of pure hedonism.
PS I am also very proudly married which makes it all the more fun as I am not interested in anything other than having a bloody good laugh, making friends and having a great week on snow
The Ski Gathering's offering looked good for a week in Courchevel/La Tania - check it out
