Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Ski Rental (Val Thorens) Independent vs Franchise

I'll be in VT this December for 8 days of skiing, and am wondering where the best place to hire quality skis is. There seems to be a big price discrepancy between independent shops (such as Zenith Ski Shop) and more established companies such as Sport 2000 and Intersport, and I'm wondering what the reason for this is. I'm an intermediate to advanced skiier, looking for a quality pair of piste skis that isn't 3 seasons old and completely battered. When i went skiing in ADH in 2019/20 I hired the 'Gold pack' from Intersport but the skis visibly tired, in poor condition and in need of some TLC. Which rental shops do you recommend in VT?

I'm wondering the same thing. Also wondering how much choice various places may have. Each one shows a few different packages, but I'm curious how much selection there might be within each package? Are they going to have a range of different models to pick from if I pick an upper-level package (like a "demo" rental), or are they just going to have a rack full of different lengths of the same ski for each level?
