Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Avoriaz Tips? eg Ski Lessons and Transfers

 Poster: A snowHead
Poster: A snowHead
We're going to Avoriaz in March 2022 - 2 adults and 3 kids (12,9,7).
- Any advice on private transfers from Geneva airport?
- Who to book ski school with? Kids are complete beginners (and adults could do with some lessons too). Village des Enfants looks like the obvious one - and we're staying right beside it but I've heard mixed things.
- Where to hire all the gear?
- Anything else we should do outside skiing?
Thanks!

Skiidy Gonzales for transfers. They will drive you all the way up (rather than cable car) and they have a big fleet so you won’t be held up by a late driver etc.
There is loads to do up there (ski doo safari, aquariaz etc.) and the beginner area is really good. Cant help with ski school.

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

VdE is good with small children, but at those ages go straight to to one of the ski schools.
ESF Avoriaz is fine for beginner group lessons, AASS a decent British outfit also worthy of mention.
If it's for boarding Evo2 are pretty good also Mint if you want a more Brit oriented set up.
With 5 people, a private transfer is probably best.
I started a thread on PdS Transfers with prices for this season here:

Of these I have used Skiidy, Ski-lifts and AplyBus, and for your needs either of the first 2 would be fine.

Assuming your kids (and you) like sweet items in a bakery, they'll love this place.

Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

My kids learned with freedom2ski after some less than brilliant experiences elsewhere.

And (if she’s not already booked) taxi-morzine are brilliant for private transfers.
