When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

There have been several incidents now with cable cars malfunctioning. I’m not sure if a prolonged period of closure with COVID has played a part, but it can’t just be a coincidence!

@Ionizingskin, How do you know that? I'm not aware of the cause being announced yet.

This is a very old cable car dating back to the 1930's and built for site seeing rather than skiing (https://www.jested.cz/en/the-cableway). It is owned and run by Czech railways. I have been to Liberec and it is not realy a ski resort, though there are a couple ski runs through the trees and some ski lifts. It's really a small industrial town. Ice hockey and ski jumping appear popular. It is actually qute a nice place to be.
