Got my tax foncieres bill today and tried to pay it via impots.gouv.fr using the QR code, but whilst it appears to have gone through I haven't got the confirmation email and the phone screen just has a spinning icon. Anybody else had problems or any idea how to see if they will take the money in October?

Took mine smoothly this year.
I *think* I recall trying to see if it had taken payment in a previous year and it didn’t take me to the next step, IBAN/payment details.
If you haven’t got the confirmation email then the pay instruction has likely not gone through.

@Grinning, Just worked it out today. Chatting with some French friends we decided that if you haven't got the confirmation email it hasn't paid, so I paid again, got the email this time and then tried AGAIN and now it says the payment has already been made. So I'm confident that I've paid and only paid once!!

@Jonny996 Extract from a missive from YSE:
Here are the latest rules.
To enter France, adults now only need to bring their proof of vaccination and the sworn statement that they have no covid symptoms and haven't been in contact with anyone infected. 12-17 year olds travelling with vaccinated adults just need to show the statement, whether they themselves are vaccinated or not. Under-12s don't need to do anything.
To land in Geneva, fully vaccinated adults, and under-18s travelling with them, whether vaccinated or not, just need to fill in a Swiss passenger locator form.
To return to Britain, fully vaccinated adult British residents and children of 4-17 (vaccinated or not) currently have to book a Day 2 test and fill in a British plf (children can be included on a parent's). Under-4s are exempt.

I realised a few years back that the impots site is only an envelope to another site, thus.
https://www.telepaiement.dgfip.finances.gouv.fr/stl/satelit.web?templatename=charpente&pagedemande=accueilmenu&numerobouton=1&numeroscenario=null&menu=true
That takes you straight there but may say session expired. Ignore that and just go to reconnect and then paiment e ligne
It then just requires your Numero fiscal and Ref l'avis to bring up your account.
If you have already authourised payment, it will show the account but with "Montant à payer" set to zero thus: 0,00 €
If you haven't paid it will show the details of the current bill and just requires you to add your bank account IBAN: FR (plus big number) it then confirms your bank codes BIC.
Select confirm and all is done. If you want a coinfirmation you should add your email address on the final page.
Hope that helps.

We bought our place last December and as it was a renovation we had to fill a form in to explain how big it was etc (I guess so they can calculate the bill). We didn’t do this til August thanks to covid.
We put a UK address on the form - is that where they’ll send the bill once they’ve worked it out?

@andy from embsay, usually to your home address yes, although once you have a tax number you can go paper free and just get the email. TF done and paid- no sign of TDH yet but I think that was mid-late October last year

If you are happy with Direct Debit then set it up to just go out your account every year, I have had instances where I just haven't received the bill to my UK address and once we got fined 90 euros. Plus it was a right faff as I couldn't pay the fine and the tax online once the date had expired so had to send it DPD to the local tax office and they kept trying to deliver the cheque outside of working hours! Also you get a new ref number every year so can't even use the same code from the previous bill. I've set both of them to come out automatically now as it's much less faff.

You can pay all of your local taxes monthly too. I set them up years ago, much less of a financial strain then. Regularising payment at the end of the year and restart the payments in January.

@Hells Bells, What confuses me is that on my bills there doesn't seem to be any info about how to pay by DD. Any advice about where to start? TIA.

@Matt1959, log in to your online account and there are options there. It needs to be a certain amount to be eligible for monthly payments.
