BA have announced that the transfer of flights from Gatwick to Heathrow will be extended to the end of summer 2022, the only flights that remain at Gatwick are to Glasgow and Manchester.

Usual brinkmanship of wage discussions. They will settle for something more than previously offered, but less than now.
There are precedents for industries asking workers to settle for lower wages in order to make the business competitive during hard times.
The alternative is that the pilots face redundancy, and seeking work with EJ, on worse pay and conditions BA offered last week.
BA are very reluctant to give up those slots to short haul competitors, who will then be able to compete on price with BA flights from LHR.

Had an email last week cancelling my November flight to Salzburg. Then today another cancelling February flight.
The rescheduled flights via Heathrow are terrible times- not very happy!!

BA have now firmed up their schedule until the end of November, a lot more routes and capacity has been added unfortunately not for Salzburg !

Suits me. Our Gatwick flight next august was moved to Heathrow which is far more convenient. Times only slightly changed

My flight from Gatwick for last year BB was moved to LHR. Same time. 40 minutes less traveling time, so no hassle. Covid cancelled anyway. This time, just booked LHR as expected more disruption at Gatwick.
