Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Fully loaded with cheese, sausages, Butternut box dog food, filet of beef, leg of pork, we stuck it under the dogs bed in case anyone was checking, but no checks, just a long time queing for French passport control!

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Travelling on Eurostar tomorrow. It's going to be a long day, so I was going to pack sandwiches/chocolate etc. Has anyone any recent experience of whether this is likely to be intercepted or not?
Obviously getting things through a baggage check is not the same as driving onto a ferry/tunnel, so I'm a little pessimistic.

@pendodave, as no one else has responded, not quite the same, but we traveled via ferry from Dover last Saturday, and the only check we had was of our test status. We didn’t have any ‘contraband’ but there was no check in our boot. Also nothing at all on arrival in Calais.

I'll report back tomorrow evening, assuming I don't die of hunger en route...

After a couple of trips over the summer via the Tunnel, we just do what we did pre Brexit. Cheese, milk, ham, bacon etc. have all gone in the cool bag with the left over veg. @Stamfordhatter, I really would fret too much about coming over with some frozen meals.

So...
All checked in in about 20 minutes at STP. Gave me about an hour and a half to have eaten all the food.
No checks on luggage apart from security xray.
There were a few staff at GdN with orange arm bands on looking at someone's suitcase, but seemed to be a very slim chance of detection.
Happy daze!
Once in france, checked vaccine status to board tgv to grenoble.

Agree with @Perty, I really wouldn’t worry about it too much.
We left in such a rush driving ten days ago (we had intended to fly) that I had not more than a few bits of picnic food but when we travelled before Christmas I had the cold bag with some frozen meals and bits and pieces from the fridge and no one has shown any interest in the contents of our car on either trip.

No interest at Eurotunnel either way last week or in the summer (even when a plugged in cool box was visible)
