Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Last winter was the first we missed in over 15 years, basically since we learnt to ski. I know there's bigger things to worry about and we've been incredibly privileged so far, so take it all in balance.
Im being optimistic and thinking ahead to this coming winter. I'd like to put a deposit down to hold something just before Christmas or week before Feb half term maybe. Fully refundable/protected for Covid cancellation, smallish French or even Austrian town with access to a large area suitable for very good adults and intermediate kids, with a good kids ski school, preferably self drive, don't mind catering level.
Who are people booking with????? Any recommendations for my wishlist?!

, why should accommodation providers take all the risk? If you want to book ahead you should be prepared to take some of that risk yourself. If you catch Covid I shouldn't be responsible for it but if the French government declare another lockdown there will be a law in place to cover this. Last March existing bookings weren't refunded but dates could be moved. After 18 months I would be obliged to refund if client was unable to come.
