Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

From Wiegele's Facebook Page...
It is with profound sadness that today we share the passing of our founder and industry legend, Mike Wiegele. Everyone at Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing (MWHS) extends our deepest sympathies to the Wiegele family, most notably Mike’s wife Bonnie, their daughter Michelle and their grandson Charlie.
Mike enjoyed close and enduring relationships with a broad community of colleagues, guests, and friends from all walks of life -- kinships forged on skis, on bikes and on hikes up mountain trails. Our entire team extends condolences to those connected to Mike across Canada and around the world.
Mike lived a remarkable life. He had an unparalleled passion for skiing, was a fearless entrepreneur and was a tireless and innovative advocate for safety in the mountains. His industry leadership spans 50+ years leading to numerous national and international commendations.
Competitor, coach, pioneer, entrepreneur, husband, father, and man of the mountains. We remember the motto by which Mike lived his life, and we carry it with us in our hearts and into the mountains.

A life lived large. Immortalised in many Warren Miller films.

 Obviously A snowHead isn't a real person

Not unexpected, unlike the death of one of his pilots, Heath, fighting the bush fires the other week in Alberta.

He didn't care about how rich or important people were, or even what they rode.
He was simply happy to share the privilege with others who recognized it.

All guests are down for the day

Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

I like the 1965 shot. It's hard to remember that old guys weren't always old.

Here's a shot from 2007. Mike'd stepped away from the day-to-day-stuff by then but still got out skiing quite a bit, although mostly
with his family and friends.

We used to use Army foldable shovels back in the day. Slightly more practical but not that effective.
