Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Impressive CV.... It'll be interesting to see how it works out, he was being touted as a 'change' candidate by some, FIS isn't always into change.

 Well, the person's real but it's just a made up name, see?

Difficult to know what can/will change. It's a niche spectator sport with a format that is very challenging to make thrilling live TV and like fishing most participants don't give a toss about watching the competitive side at least live.

He even lived in the same London square as Maggie Thatcher - she was at number 73 Chester Square and Eliasch still owns number 31. Ski connection - next door to Eton Square and the old SCGB HQ.

Has Royal connections too: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7790861/How-Duke-used-pseudonym-set-secret-firm-sports-tycoon.html Ooops! Will be interesting to see if and what comes out in the fullness of time.

Good luck making ski racing more watchable and revenue generating. There's only really Wengen, Kitzbuhel and Schladming offering a spectacle and most of that audience is Austria/Switzerland. Parallel slalom hasn't taken off. Ski & Boarder cross more exciting to watch but still a tiny audience. Mostly it's watching paint dry. I also think the sport is sorely missing some personalities like Klammer, Tomba, Miller - they are all a bit anonymous now.

 Anyway, snowHeads is much more fun if you do.

@Pruman, interesting.

Of course the biggest winter sport in FIS purview is apparently, biathlon.

So there is a disconnect between spectating and participating.
