Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Has anyone booked for Christmas in Lech yet? Want to take the entire family of 10.

@skilegs, I'm currently watching my options for Lech/Stuben over Xmas. Not at all convinced about booking just yet, waiting to see travel restrictions/requirements over the summer period. Still looks 50/50 to me.

@skilegs, taking 10 people to Lech for Christmas is gonna be challenging. Lech has 95% returning guests for Christmas. Some hotels don’t even publish rates for Christmas...
Covid should not be a reason to wait searching.
You should start writing emails asap. (Lech is DIY mostly).
Majority of replies will ask you to wait until August, when hotels get in touch with their returning guests to confirm their pencilled bookings.
Although 10 persons is gonna be quite impossible anyway, as mentioned...

There is definitely good hotel availability on Booking.com. Albeit expensive. Even some nice apartments for Christmas week 19th to 26th Dec.

That is not ‘the’ christmas week...
And even then, few have availability for 10...

@skilegs, Anemone is veeery close to our hotel. Truly excellent ski in/out position, best area in Lech. Toofy Grin
But for some reason Anemone always has availability on Booking etc. It’s like that for years already. Whilst all other hotels in the immediate area are fully booked with returning guests from christmas to easter.
Don’t know why...Still, a really, really great location.

Tripadvisor rated #46 of 53 Hotels in Lech which doesn't sound great but looking at the reviews over the last 3 years most are very good. There are a couple of 3 stars that allude to lack of 4* value for money (one said 500 Euros a night, another £400 per night). Hotel seems to politely reply to negative reviews which I always think is a good sign and I saw in one reply it said "For the rooms they will be renovated this summer." That was 2018. I see no reason based on that to avoid.
