Mail for help.Help!!

Log in to snowHeads to make it MUCH better! Registration's totally free, of course, and makes snowHeads easier to use and to understand, gives better searching, filtering etc. as well as access to 'members only' forums, discounts and deals that U don't even know exist as a 'guest' user. (btw. 50,000+ snowHeads already know all this, making snowHeads the biggest, most active community of snow-heads in the UK, so you'll be in good company)..... When you register, you get our free weekly(-ish) snow report by email. It's rather good and not made up by tourist offices (or people that love the tourist office and want to marry it either)... We don't share your email address with anyone and we never send out any of those cheesy 'message from our partners' emails either. Anyway, snowHeads really is MUCH better when you're logged in - not least because you get to post your own messages complaining about things that annoy you like perhaps this banner which, incidentally, disappears when you log in :-)

Which are the most popular skis in UK market - All mountain?

Does anyone know what are most most popular type of skis for GB skiers? I assume "All Mountain" is all conquering but I could be wrong. Do we actually buy more piste skis? What do you all think? I would classify piste skis as 73mm or less. Piste focused All Mountain at 74-89mm. Soft snow focused All Mountain at 90-104mm. Anything wider I would tend to think of as Freeride and I haven't included Freestyle but I guess they could largely fall into the All Mountain category. Just interested in what we are all buying and riding....

Oops...was that a bit of an americanism? Ride/ski whichever you are most comfortable with. Still keen to get info though. Thanks all.

Piste focus skis are really up to 80mm underfoot and this category far out sells all others and probably more than all the other combined.

Thanks. That makes sense. Though there is a pretty big difference between an 80mm ski and, say, a 66mm race carver. I would assume that the wide-body piste ski (say mid 70s to 80mm) is much the more popular. Would that be fair?
